THREE QUESTIONS TO OWEN SIMONIN, HASHEUR

They are our clients, our friends, good contacts or just people we met in the crypto-community. They have new vision, they are running great projects, they are developing new services, or they just want to share their story. Havas Blockchain is interviewing key people of the blockchain ecosystem.

Let’s meet today with Owen Simonin, also known as Hasheur:

Owen Simonin

My name is Owen Simonin and I am 22 years old. I left Corsica when I was 18 years old to study at the EDHEC Business School. I started to make videos on YouTube in 2016, and blockchain technology boomed just one year later. At this shifting moment, the market supported me, and my community encouraged me in my projects and businesses. Therefore, I stopped EDHEC two years later to start a business in the city of Metz.

Throughout my childhood, I have always tried to create video game servers, internet bugs, import and resell from China… Since more than four years, I am now almost exclusively focused on Blockchain.

Nevertheless, I am also associated with my brother William for entrepreneurial projects in different fields. His main project nowadays is “Vivoka”, which is a voice recognition software for companies in all sectors.

Together, we have just bought a building to bring together all our companies and our teams, which today gathers more than 40 people.

2. How do you balance your activities of influencers and entrepreneur?

To be honest, I was struggling at the beginning. It is only after a while that I realized it was important to separate the two.

To be honest, it is my private life that has little space in the overall balance.

However, it is certain that an influencer activity boosts the entrepreneur’s structures. Fortunately, and thanks to the connections that I develop through my image of influencer, I kind of create my own leverage effect.

In the end, the influencer is an entrepreneur. And this is one of the main reasons that built my credibility: I don’t just have an influencer vision; I try to go further in the mechanism.

In terms of time reparation, it’s a little bit of YouTube and a lot of work in companies. But basically, when I’m in the office, I develop my influencing skills and vice versa.

3. How do you see the evolution of the blockchain market in the upcoming years, in France and globally?

Let’s just say that I see the trend that’s emerging. And it’s getting faster and faster. More than that, I am unable to predict: the technology is far too complete and young to anticipate its evolution. However, I am sure of one thing: its adoption is certain. Indeed, if today blockchain remains “a great tool with great possibilities”, I think that tomorrow this technology will be an evidence that we will no longer need to present (like the Internet is today).

France is moving fast, at least in comparison with many other countries. I hope that it will be able to define a complete and above all very flexible framework: because without flexibility, France will once again fail to be a competitor. Only time will tell.
